Our Pet Surgery Process

While the details may vary depending on your pet’s specific procedure, here is an overview of what to expect when your pet undergoes surgery with At Your Service.

We start by reviewing your pet's full medical history to determine if surgery is necessary and to find the safest, most effective treatment option for the condition
After verifying surgery as the best treatment for your pet, we’ll discuss our recommended procedure, including potential risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. We’ll also address any questions or concerns you may have.
Before surgery, we perform a thorough health assessment to ensure your pet is fit for anesthesia. This includes diagnostics tailored to your pet’s specific needs, such as bloodwork or imaging of the heart and lungs.

Based on the pre-evaluation results, we determine whether your pet is a good candidate for anesthesia and develop a customized anesthesia plan for your pet’s safety and comfort.

Our pet hospital only uses Sevoflurane gas anesthesia, which is known as the safest gas anesthetic and is widely used by children's hospitals across the country.

Our skilled veterinary team will perform the procedure with precision and care, using advanced techniques and equipment. Throughout the surgery, our nurses will also closely monitor your pet's vital signs to mitigate complications.
Once the procedure is complete, your pet will be transferred to a recovery area for close monitoring by our skilled nurses as your pet recovers from anesthesia. You will also be notified as soon as your pet is out of surgery.
Our team will provide detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for your pet’s recovery at home. This includes guidance on wound care, medications, and activity restrictions.
Our team is available to answer any questions or address concerns during your pet’s recovery. We may schedule follow-up visits to ensure your pet is healing properly and comfortably.

Testimonials

“After years of frustration and countless visits to different veterinarians, I was at my wit's end. My sweet dog, Bella, had been suffering from ongoing health issues that no one seemed able to figure out. Every time I tried to express my concerns, I was brushed off, and Bella was sent home with a quick fix that never lasted. I felt like no one truly cared about what we were going through.

Then we found Dr. Moss. From the very first visit, I could tell we were in the right place. Dr. Moss took the time to truly listen to Bella’s history and my concerns. He approached her care with compassion, expertise, and determination. Through thorough diagnostics and a personalized treatment plan, Dr. Moss identified the root cause of Bella’s issues—something no one else had done.

Today, Bella is like a brand-new dog—full of energy, tail wagging, and happy again. I finally feel like I have my Bella back, and it’s all thanks to Dr. Moss and his incredible team. Their unwavering dedication and kindness gave us hope when we needed it most, and I am forever grateful.”
